A Lot Can Happen in the Light ,
Light, like life is about possibility. My paintings imagine this, creating a world where with the flick of a paint laden brush, can change the outcome.
A lot can happen in the light. It opens awareness, allows discovery, affects vision, changes attitude and creates extremes of contrasting colour and tone.
Working intuitively, I begin my artwork with figures referenced from lifedrawings, allowing them to interact with each other. They warp into new identities of rhythm and gesture as I respond to the movement and enjoyment of making marks on paper or canvas.
